The small Ryōba saw is a Japanese saw that has different teeth on both sides. One side, with finer triangular toothing called cross-cut 縦, is used for cutting across the grain. The other side, with coarser trapezoidal teeth caled rip-cut 横 for good chip removal, is used for along with the grain. The small size of this Ryōba saw is perfect for clean saw cuts in smaller workpieces.
