Due to the ion beam process we developed and optimized, our inspection mirrors achieve excellent reflection. Our inspection mirrors are based on the use of increasingly advanced production techniques. A complex layer structure is created in high vacuum facilities using a 2 x 10-6 mbar electron beam evaporation process. The reflective layer is made of pure rhodium. Like gold or platinum, rhodium is a precious metal.

Since the rhodium reflective coating (FS - Front Surface) is directly on the surface, the image is reflected only once and is therefore exactly sharp, whereas with a normal reflective coating on the underside of the glass, the image is reflected twice. As a precious metal, similar to gold, rhodium is resistant to all disinfectants, including the acids used in dentistry, which are contained in so-called refresh products, such as Neodisher N with a 25% phosphoric acid content.
