At the beginning oft he year weh ad the opportunity to examine a violin made by Del Gesù. We did not want to deprive you oft he intersesting insights and have taken this opportunity to publish a first annex tot he book „Manual on the optical analysis of stringed instruments | Highgrade analysis using UV light makes the invisible, visible“ from 2017.

Based on many years of experience and thanks to a good cooperation with the LUMATEC GmbH, this manual sets the basic components for a scientific approach to analysis.

In the intoruction we also give a brought few to he Theory of how light, UV-light, infrared light and filters work.
